Restoration Phase 5

Most of the exterior work to the church was complete by the end of 2009 and it was time to concentrate on the interior.

Great efforts had been going on to secure grants to do the interior work for our project ‘Conserving and Sharing St Andrew’s Church’ and in June 2010 we were delighted to celebrate the confirmation that we had been awarded a substantial grant by the Heritage Lottery Fund, however it was not until 2012, when all the various aspects of the work required had been clarified, that a faculty was at last obtained from the Diocesan Registrar.

During the construction phase of the project the main contractor was Aura Conservation of Stockport.
